Part 1 is the concept for the paper. This should include a description of the health care delivery problem that you have selected. You will need to begin your literature review to investigate the problem. What is known? What is the current practice or state of health care delivery pertaining to the problem that you have selected? A complete literature review is not required at this point, but the health care delivery problem should be well described and with supporting evidence.
Part 2 of the Final Paper assignment is the complete literature review. The literature review that you began in Part 1 (Concept Paper) should be expanded to critique one or more solutions that have been attempted to address the problem that you have chosen. Did the solution work or not? Why or why not? You do not need to limit this review to the United States.
Part 3: Propose a change to improve health care delivery to address the problem you have chosen. This may be an improvement to an existing solution, or a new idea. Be specific about the solution you are proposing. Questions to consider may include: Who will benefit? What are advantages? What are potential barriers to your solution? What is needed to overcome those barriers? Draw on the material covered in this course about the organization of health care, the stakeholders and their incentives, the question of paying for the suggested solution, sustainability, and accessibility.
