All students in this course are required to attend a live college or professional orchestra performance during the term of this class (no concert occurring prior to the start of this class will be accepted).
Write a minimum of 500 words giving a review of the concert you attended.
Your review must include the following:
Who, What, When, Where of the orchestra you chose.
What kind of listener were you at the concert? Why?
What pieces were performed?
What was the style of each of the pieces performed?
What was the instrumentation of the orchestra?
Analyze each piece of music from the concert using terms from the text and such as:
Structure of the Music
Purpose of the Music
Tempo
Volume
Rhythm
Melody
Harmony
Form
Historical Period
Did you enjoy the concert? Why or why not?
