Choose a perspective from which to discuss this issue (parent, physician, religious leader, prosecuting attorney) In your opinion, do you think the parents should be charged with the death of their child?  Should religious beliefs be taken into consideration in cases involving children?  Are there other examples like this where religion interfered with health care?

Please note, you will have two different due dates for all Direct (Wednesday) and Responsive (Sunday) posts. Check the course schedule to see the due dates. Typically, the Direct post will be due part way through the module and the Responsive Posts will be due at the end of the module.

The Direct Response to the prompt should be between 150 – 300 words, using references when necessary.  Two Responsive Posts are required and should also be between 150 – 300 words. The Direct Response post is worth 10 points and each Responsive Post is worth 5 points for a total of 20 points. If you are missing the Direct Response post, you will lose 10 points. If you are missing one Responsive Post, then you will miss 5 points. Missing two Responsive Posts, then you will miss 10 points.

After you have posted the Direct Response to the given prompt, then respond to two of your classmates’ Direct Responses. Responsive Posts need to be as involved as the one responding to the prompt. If you agree or disagree with their post, be sure to explain why. What experiences do you have that lead you to that opinion? What evidence do you have? Drive the discussion forward. Responses such as “Yes, I agree” and “great work” do not contribute to the conversation and will not receive credit.

Citations are required. As always, make sure you are incorporating course terminology to demonstrate understanding of course materials.
