Case study

This activity requires that you develop a leadership case of your own. Specifically, you’ll be expected to develop (i.e., “make up”) a case that requires the application of some of the leadership principles we’ve discussed over the course of the semester to real-life situations. It is expected that your case will be substantive in nature and will, by means of the discussion it is intended to generate, provide valuable insight into the effective practice of leadership concepts. The case you develop need not be particularly long (1/2 to 3/4 of a page, single spaced, will suffice), but it will need to be integrative — meaning that it’ll need to deal with several of the leadership concepts we’ve discussed (not just one or two). To that end, make sure that the scenario you create deals with at least five different leadership concepts from at least five different topic areas covered in MGT 460. Once you’ve developed your case, pose five moderately challenging discussion questions (one for each topic area).

Leadership topics include Authentic, adaptive, inclusive, transformative, servant.
