It is estimated that there are over 20 million people who are part of the South Asian diaspora. What factors do you think account for this? Why is there so much movement away from the homeland and into foreign countries for this group? What opportunities and cultural practices may be influential to this movement?

Each week, questions and case studies will be posted in the “Discussion Board”. Each student must post a response that addresses the original question (worth 10 points). The response should be well thought out and well-written (5 points). You must use sources including your text and scientific literature when discussing the topic in order to receive full credit for the original post, otherwise 3 points will be deducted.

In order to receive all 10 points for the original post, you MUST provide a full APA citation (not just a URL) at the end of your original discussion post, otherwise you will lose 3 points for the original discussion posting.

You are allowed to have more than one resource, but only one is required. And even if it’s the required text, you must still provide a full APA citation.
