Write a two page paper based on the three Lyle Steadman papers that you read at the
beginning of the semester and any of the books assigned this semester. This assignment is
designed to allow students to explore the issue social behavior as it relates to the history of
Mexican Americans. You are first to identify a specific example of social behavior as defined by
Steadman and found in one of the assigned books. Secondly, briefly discuss what you think the
example suggests for our understanding of Mexican American history. The primary aim of this
assignment is to develop within students an appreciation and understanding of the impact of the
fundamental human behavior of social behavior on the development and understanding of our
history.
