Students will complete a written, single-spaced paper (approx. 5-10 pages)
applying Kolb’s Experiential Learning Model to three (3) separate
purchase experiences (a new task, an evoked set, and a brand loyalty
purchase) as they are happening during the semester. The paper will
include four stages of analysis:
1. Concrete Experience. Describe the purchasing task and your
experiences with the purchase. Be as objective and as descriptive as
possible.
2. Reflection: Students provide opinions, feelings, reactions, emotions
and other subjective reactions to each of the three purchase situations.
3. Conceptualization: Students relate each of the three purchases to
relevant concepts and theories discussed in the course.
4. Experimentation: Students explain what they have learned from each
of the two experiences and how they can apply this knowledge to
future situations.
